We’re working with a supportive primary school in Leeds who require a caring and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs.
This is a rewarding role for someone patient, empathetic, and confident supporting children with ASD, ADHD, or social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
You will:
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support daily routines
- Provide emotional and learning support to help the child engage fully
- Adapt resources and activities to suit individual learning styles
- Build a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil
Requirements:
- Experience supporting children with additional needs (school or care setting)
- A calm, nurturing, and resilient approach
- Strong communication skills with staff and parents
