A caring primary school in Leeds is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with Autism (ASD).
The ideal candidate will be patient, calm and creative, able to adapt activities to suit the pupil’s individual needs while promoting independence and confidence.
You’ll be:
- Supporting a child in class and during transitions
- Helping to implement EHCP targets
- Using visual supports and positive reinforcement strategies
- Working closely with the SENCO, class teacher and parents
Essential:
- Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or childcare setting
- A nurturing, consistent, and resilient approach
