Location: WF9
Salary: Paid to scale
Contract: Full-time, Temporary Maternity Cover from January to October 2026

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join a welcoming school in WF9. This role is to teach Key Stage 2 and will cover maternity leave from January until October 2026. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons for KS2 pupils in line with the national curriculum
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support pupil development
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and safeguarding

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching KS2
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate pupils
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
