About the Role: As a Creative Arts Therapist, you will play a vital role in our school’s mission to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment for children aged 3-19. Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, you’ll design and deliver therapeutic art sessions tailored to each student’s unique needs, helping them express themselves, build confidence, and develop essential life skills.
What We’re Looking For:
A qualified Arts Therapist with a recognised certification and registration with relevant professional bodies (e.g., HCPC, BAAT)
Experience working with children with special educational needs in either mainstream or special educational settings
A creative, patient, and adaptable approach to therapy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
An existing DBS check on the update service or willingness to undergo a new check
Your Responsibilities:
Design and deliver individual and group art therapy sessions to support students’ emotional and developmental needs
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to create holistic support plans for students
Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing regular feedback to staff and parents
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages self-expression and personal growth
Contribute to the development of school policies and practices related to therapeutic interventions
