Are you confident, adaptable and looking to gain valuable experience in schools across East London? We’re recruiting enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in delivering high‑quality learning in the teacher’s absence.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes, deliver pre‑planned lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure pupils stay on task. You’ll work across a range of subjects and year groups, making this an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school staff looking for flexible work.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising classes during teacher absences
• Delivering pre‑set work and supporting students where needed
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Ensuring a focused, safe and supportive learning atmosphere
• Reporting any concerns or completed work to teaching staff

Requirements

• Experience working with young people (school‑based or similar)
• Strong communication and behaviour‑management skills
• Confident, calm and able to lead a classroom
• Reliable, proactive and adaptable
• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
