Career Teachers are recruiting for secondary schools in Hackney, and we are seeking confident, adaptable, and proactive Cover Supervisors to join the daily supply pool. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced cover staff, or anyone passionate about supporting young people in a school environment.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into classrooms across a range of subjects, ensuring learning continues smoothly in the absence of the class teacher. You’ll deliver pre‑prepared work, maintain a positive learning environment, and support students in staying focused and engaged.

No planning or marking is required strength lies in presence, communication, and classroom management.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 in a variety of subjects
• Delivering set work and ensuring students remain on task
• Managing behaviour in line with school policies
• Building positive relationships with students and staff
• Providing feedback to teaching staff at the end of each lesson

Experience working in schools is beneficial but not essential training and support are available for the right candidate.
