About the Roles:
Career Teachers are seeking an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Lewisham, South London! We are looking for someone full-time, to begin immediately.
We seek compassionate, patient, and creative individuals passionate about education and making a significant impact in children’s lives. This school has high SEND requirements, and as such we would be looking for someone with previous experience both in early years and with SEND children.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate closely with class teachers to help each child achieve their full potential. You will engage with students individually or in small groups, providing support tailored to their unique learning needs. This will also include working with children who have additional learning needs such as ASD, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
Qualifications and Experience:
We are looking for candidates with prior experience in childcare or school-related roles, such as babysitting, tutoring, coaching, summer camps, or previous teaching assistant positions. Candidates must have:
  • A valid and up-to-date Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Valid Right to Work status in the UK
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A strong passion for education and working with children
