September Role – Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 2

Location: Derbyshire
Start Date: September 2025
Working Pattern: 4 days per week (Tuesday to Friday)
Daily Rate: £100 – £125 (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Fixed-term (until Christmas, with potential to extend)

About the Role:

Career Teachers are seeking a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our agency and support a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Derbyshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HLTA who enjoys working in Key Stage 2, particularly within a mixed Year 3/4 class, with occasional support across Years 5 and 6. The role is ideal for someone looking for a planning–free position, as all lesson planning is already in place.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons and activities across KS2
• Support pupils’ learning and development in small groups and whole-class settings
• Collaborate with class teachers and school staff to ensure a positive learning environment
• Provide occasional cover across Years 5 and 6 as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• Proven experience working within Key Stage 2
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to teaching support
