Role Overview
As a Learning Mentor, you’ll work closely with students who require additional support to overcome barriers to learning. Your role will be to foster a positive school experience, improve engagement, and help students realise their potential-academically, socially, and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring to students
- Support behavioural, emotional and academic development
- Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams and parents/carers
- Contribute to creating inclusive and supportive learning environments
- Monitor progress and keep detailed records of student development
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with young people in an educational, youth work or mentoring capacity
- Strong communication, empathy and relationship-building skills
- Adaptability to different school settings and student needs
- A proactive and compassionate approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
