Supply Learning Support Assistant – Secondary (SEN/SEMH)

Pay: £95-£110 per day
Contract: Day‑to‑day / ongoing supply

We are seeking dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistants to join secondary schools across East London, providing 1:1 and small‑group support to students with SEN and SEMH needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.

About the Role

• Supporting pupils with a range of SEN/SEMH needs in and out of the classroom
• Helping to maintain focus, build confidence and encourage positive behaviour
• Working closely with teaching staff and safeguarding teams
• Adapting support strategies to meet individual learning needs
• Creating a calm, supportive learning environment

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with SEN, SEMH or challenging behaviour (school‑based or transferable)
• Patience, empathy and strong communication skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• Confidence managing behaviour in a secondary school setting
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
