Career Teachers are seeking a Primary Teacher to join the team of an academy school in December 2024 on a part time, temporary basis.

This academy is a single-form-entry school situated in Ferrybridge and is easy to reach from both Pontefract and Castleford.

They will also possess secure skills and knowledge from across the curriculum with a focus on the importance of strong communication, language and oracy.

Located in Ferrybridge, in the heart of Yorkshire, the school is a primary academy entrusted with being the centre of learning for over two-hundred children who range in age from Nursery to Year 6. The building itself is modern in design and flooded with natural light, making their learning environments bright and vibrant places to be. The right candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and learning, with a desire to inspire and support students.
  • The ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • The ability to work effectively with colleagues, sharing ideas and expertise to create a supportive and innovative learning environment.
