School Attendance Officer

Career Teachers are currently recruiting experienced Attendance Officers to start as soon as possible.

We are looking to appoint passionate and dedicated Attendance Officers who are ideally looking for long-term work and available to start as soon as possible, to meet the high demand for our schools. We work with a wide variety of Secondary Schools in the South Staffordshire and surrounding areas.

We are extremely busy with requests from our schools with the flexibility of working around your commitments with part-time and full-time hours to suit, as well as short-term and long-term assignments, with some leading to permanent contracts.

As a school attendance officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring students attend school regularly. This will include monitoring, analysing, and intervening with student attendance, absence, and punctuality across the school to ensure that all students achieve their potential.

Requirements:

• Applicants must have a minimum of 6 months experience working as a school attendance officer
• A calm and positive attitude
• Have a passion for supporting and nurturing students.
• Committed to promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and carers.
• Able to work in a busy, challenging, yet rewarding environment.
• Knowledge and experience of using ICT systems such as SIM and Microsoft Office
• Eligibility to work within the UK.
• Hold an enhanced DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
• Have up-to-date safeguarding training; Career Teachers offer a FREE online Safeguarding training course
• Able to provide a minimum of 2 x references to cover the last 2 years of employment history.
