Science Technician – Secondary School

A well-established secondary school in South East London is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Science Technician to join their dynamic Science department. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the delivery of engaging practical science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical lessons
Support teachers during experiments and demonstrations
Maintain and organise laboratory stock, equipment, and chemicals
Ensure health and safety standards are upheld at all times
Assist with administrative tasks such as inventory, ordering supplies, and record-keeping
Provide technical support across KS3-KS5 science lessons
Previous experience in a school science lab or similar environment preferred
Strong understanding of laboratory safety and procedures
Organised, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and a flexible approach to supporting staff and students
Science qualification or technician training desirable
