A Pupil Referral Unit committed to providing high-quality education and support to students who require additional behavioural and emotional assistance are seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher to join their team and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Deliver Lessons: Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans tailored to the needs of each student.
  • Support Student Development: Foster a supportive and nurturing classroom environment that promotes student learning and well-being.
  • Monitor and Assess Progress: Regularly assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with other teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
  • Manage Behaviour: Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm and productive classroom.
  • Pastoral Care: Provide pastoral support to students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience: Proven experience in teaching, preferably within a Pupil Referral Unit or similar setting.
  • Education: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and classroom management skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Special Needs Expertise: Experience working with students with SEND needs is highly valued.
