SEND Teacher Opportunity – Uxbridge
Contract: Full-Time, Long Term | Start: ASAP or September | Salary: £750 – £1,250 per week (Scale Point Rate)

As a valued SEND Teacher, you’ll address diverse needs such as communication and interaction, cognition and learning, social, emotional, and mental health challenges, and sensory/physical difficulties. Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Overseas Teaching Certificate (Naric-recognised)
• Experience in SEND within mainstream or specialist settings
• A patient, flexible, and understanding approach
• Strong communication skills
• DBS check on the update service
• Familiarity with PECS, Makaton, Intensive Interaction, Rapid Prompting Method, and other AAC approaches is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver lessons tailored to individual EHCPs
• Conduct assessments for students in your class
• Maintain responsibility for safeguarding all pupils in your care
• Collaborate effectively with teaching and support staff
• Foster independence and promote student well-being
