A fantastic team at a specialist primary and secondary school are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This school supports children with an autism diagnosis (ASC) and associated social and communication needs in a bespoke and nurturing environment.
They supports students aged from 7 to 16 and received an Ofsted rating ‘GOOD’ in 2022.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Initiative and the ability to work in a team
  • The ability to share the school aims and contribute to the ethos and vision for the whole school
  • A passion to work with all pupils from all age groups
  • Relevant experience
  • Commitment, flexibility, enthusiasm and humour
  • A genuine desire to support pupil well-being and SEMH needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


As a Teaching Assistant, you will be accountable for:

  • Supporting and motivating pupils
  • Establishing caring and secure relationships with the children
  • Assisting with the planning of learning activities
  • Supervising individual or small groups of pupils
