SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Primary Teacher – KS1/Lower KS2 in Streatham, South London

About the Role:

Career Teachers are seeking an experienced and qualified Primary SEND Teacher for a fantastic primary school in Streatham, South London! We are seeking candidates with prior experience working with SEND children, and you will be working with children in KS1/Lower KS2 in small groups.

This is a full-time role, beginning ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:

As a SEND Primary Teacher, you will:

  • Teach all national curriculum subjects, including Maths, English, Science, and Art.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons tailored to Primary students.
  • Create a safe and motivating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Implement behaviour expectations and manage classroom discipline effectively.
  • Assess assignments and tests to track student performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and school leaders to support student learning and well-being.

Qualifications and Experience:

We are looking for passionate Primary Teachers with:

  • An Undergraduate Education Degree or equivalent with QTS.
  • Previous in-school teaching experience, especially with SEND children (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Expertise in teaching methods and effective communication skills.

Salary:

Earn between £135-£240 per day as a primary supply teacher, depending on experience, or be paid to National Scale (MPS/UPS) for long-term or permanent placements.
