Salary: £800 – £1,200 per week
Are you a compassionate and creative educator ready to make a real difference in children’s lives? As a SEND Teacher, you’ll inspire and support children with special educational needs, helping them unlock their full potential and develop a love for learning.
About the Role: We are proud to partner with an OFSTED-rated ‘Outstanding’ Special Needs School in Uxbridge, catering to children aged 3-11 years. Our school is committed to addressing four broad categories of need: communication and interaction, cognition and learning, social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, as well as sensory and/or physical needs. Join us in a supportive, well-resourced environment that values continuous professional development (CPD) and offers excellent support for both staff and students.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an Overseas Teaching Certificate recognised by Naric
Experience working with students with SEND in mainstream or special educational settings
A patient, understanding, and flexible approach
Excellent communication skills
An existing DBS check on the update service
Experience with PECS, Makaton, Intensive Interaction, Rapid Prompting Method, and other augmentative and alternative communication approaches is advantageous but not essential
Your Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver effective lessons tailored to individual EHCP plans
Conduct assessments and ensure the safeguarding of pupils
Collaborate with teaching and support staff to achieve the best outcomes for students
Foster independence and promote well-being and good welfare among students
