A warm, inclusive SEN school in the North Leeds/Wetherby area is looking for full‑time Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and making a genuine difference every day.

About the Role

You’ll be working as part of a supportive staff team, providing both academic and emotional support to students with a range of SEND needs, including autism. Your day will involve:

• Supporting learning in and out of the classroom
• Building positive, trusting relationships with students
• Helping students regulate emotions and develop independence
• Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
• Creating a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive

This role begins through Career Teachers with the strong possibility of moving onto a permanent contract with the school.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with vulnerable children or young people (essential)
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• A genuine passion for supporting students with SEND
• Relevant training or qualifications are advantageous, but full training can be provided
