Career Teachers are seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team and work at a primary school in Burton-on-Trent. The successful candidate will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the individualised attention and assistance they require to thrive academically and socially!

Location: Burton-on-Trent, Primary School
Position: Full-time SEND Teaching Assistant
Pay Rate: £84-£106 per day (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

– Provide tailored support and assistance to a child with special educational needs
– Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
– Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
– Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to meet the individual needs of the student
– Maintain accurate records of student progress and development

Requirements:

– Previous experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
– Knowledge of special educational needs and experience implementing appropriate support strategies
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team
– Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools)
