About the Role

Career Teachers are recruiting for a passionate and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 4 at a welcoming primary school in South Derbyshire. This is a full-time role starting in September 2025, continuing until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a child with special educational needs.
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO.
• Implement tailored learning strategies and monitor progress.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Requirements

✔ Experience supporting children with special educational needs (essential)
✔ Commitment to working full-time from September 2025 to July 2026
✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✔ A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
