Full-Time 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Year 1 (SEN Support)

Career Teachers are seeking a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a non-verbal child in Year 1. This full-time role begins in September 2025 and runs until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with complex needs.
• Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies.
• Ensure the child’s safety and well being throughout the school day.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reviews.

Requirements:

• Full-time availability from September 2025 to July 2026.
• Recent experience supporting children with special educational needs.
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
