Teaching Assistant

Are you a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in Early Years Education?

Career Teachers are seeking a Level 2 qualified (or higher) Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Burton on Trent. This full time role will be based within an EYFS classroom, supporting young learners in their early development and helping to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support to the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum
• Assist with phonics, early numeracy, and play-based learning activities
• Support children with varying needs, including SEND
• Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
• Contribute to observations and assessments of pupil progress
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Requirements

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher (essential)
• Experience working within EYFS or early years settings (desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
