We are supporting a welcoming and vibrant Ofsted rated ‘GOOD’ primary school in Oldham, who are dedicated to providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment for their pupils. They are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis to make a positive impact on their student’s education.

Role and Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:

  • Provide support to teachers in delivering engaging lessons to KS2 pupils
  • Assist with classroom management, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment
  • Support individual pupils or small groups with their learning, helping to address specific needs
  • Contribute to planning, preparation, and assessment under the guidance of the class teacher
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff to promote a cohesive school community
  • Assist in the preparation of resources and materials for lessons and activities

Requirements of a Learning Support Assistant:

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, preferably within a KS2 setting
  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a passion for working with children
