As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support the learning and development of pupils. You will play a key role in helping children of all abilities, including those with special educational needs (SEN), to thrive in a positive and engaging classroom. You will work either 8.20-3.20 or 8.30 to 3.30 and will be expected to support extra curricular activities at least once a week.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will:

  • Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
  • Ideally have a level 2 or level 3 qualification
  • Be passionate about working with children and supporting their educational development
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Show empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference
  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding practices and the needs of primary school-aged children
