An opportunity has arisen for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a forward-thinking and inclusive primary school in Bury on a full time permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and committed individual to make a real difference in the lives of young learners by providing exceptional support and fostering their development.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning challenges
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
  • Foster a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment
  • Assist with classroom activities, small group work, and 1:1 interventions to promote academic and personal development
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each child’s education

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who has:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN, preferably in a school setting
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with diverse needs
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations
