About the Role

Career Teachers are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teacher to join a supportive SEN school in Leeds this January. This is a full-time position running until the end of the academic year, working with primary-aged students who have a range of additional learning needs, including autism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to support holistic development.
  • Monitor progress and adapt strategies to ensure every child achieves their potential.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching children with special educational needs, particularly autism.
  • Strong understanding of primary education and child development.
  • A background in EYFS teaching would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, patience, and creativity in supporting diverse learners.
