About the Role
Career Teachers are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teacher to join a supportive SEN school in Leeds this January. This is a full-time position running until the end of the academic year, working with primary-aged students who have a range of additional learning needs, including autism.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to support holistic development.
- Monitor progress and adapt strategies to ensure every child achieves their potential.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching children with special educational needs, particularly autism.
- Strong understanding of primary education and child development.
- A background in EYFS teaching would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication, patience, and creativity in supporting diverse learners.
