Primary SEND Teacher – Doncaster (DN4)

Career Teachers are working closely with a welcoming primary school in the DN4 area of Doncaster who are seeking an experienced and passionate SEND Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a full-time role running until the end of the academic year.

About the Role

You will lead a small SEND provision for a group of 4-5 KS1 children, delivering a nurturing, structured environment with a strong EYFS-focused approach.
The role includes:

• Planning, delivering, and assessing tailored learning activities
• Leading and managing the provision on a daily basis
• Coaching and supporting Teaching Assistant colleagues
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

The provision is currently being covered by a TA, and the school is keen for a qualified Teacher to step in and lead the setting forward.

Skills & Experience Required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
• Experience working with SEND pupils, ideally within EYFS or KS1
• Strong understanding of early childhood development
• Ability to differentiate learning for diverse needs
• Confident in behaviour management and nurturing approaches
• Able to lead, support, and mentor support staff
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive, compassionate, and resilient teaching style
