Nursery Nurse – Dronfield

About the Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Nursery Nurse to support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children within an early years setting. The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated team to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities
- Support the learning and development of children aged 0-5 in line with the EYFS framework
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play
- Create a safe, caring, and inclusive environment that meets individual children’s needs
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress and contribute to learning journals
- Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times
- Assist with daily routines including mealtimes, toileting, and outdoor play
- Work effectively as part of a team to maintain high standards of care and education
Requirements
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (or equivalent)
- Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework
- A caring, patient, and positive approach to working with young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to different nursery environments
- A current enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
- Paediatric First Aid training
- Experience supporting children with additional needs
