Cover Supervisor – Sheffield (Career Teachers)

Location: Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Pay: £95 to £130 per day (PAYE)
Contract: Full-time or part-time, ongoing
Start: Immediate or ASAP

About the Role

Career Teachers are recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley. You will supervise classes when teachers are absent, deliver pre-set work, and maintain a calm, productive learning environment. No planning or marking is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials
• Manage behaviour using school policies
• Take registers and complete basic lesson records
• Support students with clear instructions and positive engagement
• Provide feedback to teaching staff when needed

Requirements

• Experience working with young people (schools, youth work, coaching, tutoring, mentoring)
• Confident behaviour management
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
• Two references covering the last two years
