We are seeking a skilled, enthusiastic and organised Food Technology Technician to join a vibrant secondary school in South East London. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting high‑quality teaching and inspiring young people to develop practical skills and a passion for food and nutrition.

About the Role

As a Food Technology Technician, you will work closely with teachers to ensure the smooth running of all food lessons. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical lessons
• Ensuring classrooms, tools, and appliances are clean, safe, and well‑maintained
• Assisting students during practical sessions
• Managing stock, ordering supplies, and monitoring budgets
• Supporting health and safety procedures within the department
• Helping create engaging displays and contributing to a positive learning environment

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about food, nutrition, and practical learning
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks
• Confident working in a busy classroom environment
• Knowledgeable about food hygiene and safe working practices
• A strong communicator, able to work well within a team
• Ideally experienced in a school setting (though training can be provided)
