Career Teachers Sheffield are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to join our supply team and work across a variety of Primary schools in Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and want flexibility in their working week.
About the Role
As a supply Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons
- Assist pupils with learning activities in class and small groups
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Provide additional support for pupils with SEND or specific needs
- Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing
This role offers variety and flexibility, allowing you to gain experience in different schools while making a real impact on pupils’ education.
We Are Looking For Teaching Assistants Who:
- Have previous experience working with children in an educational setting
- Are adaptable, proactive, and confident in supporting learning across different year groups
- Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills
- Are committed to inclusive education and helping every child succeed
- Work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Have competent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Essential Qualifications & Requirements:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a school or childcare setting
- Fluent English – written and spoken
