Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S11, S35, S13)
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day depending on experience
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day‑to‑day or Long‑term | Part‑time or Full‑time

Career Teachers is recruiting an English Teacher to work in secondary schools across Sheffield S11, S35, and S13. This role suits a teacher who can deliver structured and engaging English lessons that build strong reading, writing, and analytical skills across Key Stages.

The successful candidate will create a positive classroom environment, support students with extended writing, and deliver lessons that develop confidence, discussion skills, and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver English lessons in line with the curriculum
• Support students with reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Encourage discussion, independent thinking, and strong engagement
• Maintain a positive and well‑organised classroom environment
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification
• Experience teaching English in secondary schools
• Strong subject knowledge and confident behaviour management
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
