Reception / EYFS Teaching Assistant (Full Time)

Location: S25, South Yorkshire

Contract: Full-time, ongoing

Start date: As soon as possible

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception / EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming early years setting in the S25 area. This is a full-time, ongoing position, supporting children in their Reception class during a crucial stage of their development.

The school is an integral part of the community that it serves, and we are looking for a member of staff who will integrate themselves within the school whilst supporting their young people and families.

The Role

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support children aged 2-4 years within a Reception setting
• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging, child‑centred activities
• Provide one‑to‑one and small group support where needed
• Help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment
• Support learning through play, phonics, early literacy and numeracy
• Assist with observations, behaviour support and daily routines

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Previous experience working in EYFS / Reception (essential)
• A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
• A warm, patient and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to commit to a full-time, ongoing role
