We are currently recruiting a Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive primary school team on a fixed‑term contract of up to 12 months, covering paternity leave.

The successful candidate will work as part of a behaviour support team of four, led by an experienced Behaviour Specialist Teacher. The role involves supporting pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour, working on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs
  • Helping pupils to regulate behaviour and engage positively with learning
  • Working closely with teaching staff and the behaviour team
  • Creating a calm, consistent and supportive environment

This role would suit someone who has:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
  • A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
  • A genuine passion for making a positive impact in education
