Career Teachers are recruiting a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive and inclusive school in Headingley, North Leeds. This is a full-time role, starting as soon as possible, supporting autistic students throughout the school day.

This position is ideal for someone passionate about SEN who is looking for a role that could become permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting autistic pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting with learning, behaviour and emotional regulation
• Helping students access the curriculum in a safe and structured environment
• Working closely with class teachers and the SEN team

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people with autism or additional needs (school or care setting)
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
