📍 Term Time Only | Monday-Friday | 8:30am-3:30pm

We are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive school to recruit dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join their team from 3rd September, for the full academic year.

💼 The Role

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop key life skills and thrive in a positive, inclusive environment.

This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, term time only), with opportunities for part-time arrangements for the right candidate.

The positions will initially be offered through Career Teachers, with a strong view to a permanent contract with the school for successful candidates.

✅ What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking individuals who are:

• Experienced in working with children or young people with additional needs (essential)
• Compassionate, resilient, and able to build strong, trusting relationships
• Confident supporting a range of needs, including SEMH, autism, and communication difficulties
• Flexible and proactive, with a genuine passion for inclusive education

⭐ Desirable (but not essential)

• Team Teach training
• Knowledge of Makaton or PECS
• Experience in a school or specialist setting
