Are you an experienced and passionate SEND professional looking to take the next step in your career? Career Teachers is recruiting a dedicated Deputy SENCO to join a thriving secondary school in the Croydon area.
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the SENCO and senior leadership team to support the delivery of high-quality provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring students receive the support, guidance and interventions needed to achieve their full potential.
The Role
Support the SENCO in the strategic leadership of SEND provision across the school
Coordinate and monitor interventions for students with additional needs
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, external agencies and parents
Assist with EHCP reviews, annual reviews and SEND administration
Monitor student progress and contribute to improving outcomes for SEND learners
Promote an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience working within a SEND or Inclusion role in a secondary school
Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation
Experience supporting students with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills
Relevant qualifications in SEND, education or leadership would be advantageous
