The Role
As a Reception Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver high-quality learning through a balance of adult-led activities and child-initiated play
- Teach across all areas of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring a rich and stimulating learning experience
- Create a safe, inclusive and language-rich classroom environment
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
- Monitor progress through observations and assessments, using this to inform next steps
- Build strong relationships with parents, communicating regularly about pupil progress and wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to wider school life
- Support smooth transitions within EYFS and into Key Stage 1
- Participate in school events, co-curricular activities and pastoral responsibilities
About You
We welcome applications from both early career and experienced teachers. You will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development
- A creative, engaging and innovative approach to teaching
- The ability to inspire, motivate and nurture young learners
- Excellent organisational, communication and ICT skills
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous professional development
You will also demonstrate warmth, professionalism and a genuine commitment to supporting the wellbeing and achievement of every child.
