We are seeking a caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistants to support students with Special Educational Needs in both mainstream secondary schools and specialist SEN settings across South London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is committed to making a positive difference to young people’s educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN.
• Assist students with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and other learning difficulties.
• Support teaching and learning activities both inside and outside the classroom.
• Help implement EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Encourage student independence, confidence, and engagement.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents/carers.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage behaviour positively and effectively.
• Relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
