£130 – £230 per day (depending on experience and role)

Career Teachers is recruiting enthusiastic, adaptable and committed Primary Supply Teachers to work across a variety of welcoming and supportive primary schools throughout Sheffield and South Yorkshire including exclusivity to all Sheffield South East Trust Schools from September 2026.

Whether you are an experienced teacher, ECT, or looking for greater flexibility and work-life balance, we have opportunities to suit your needs, including day-to-day supply, short-term cover and long-term teaching placements across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

The Role

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging lessons in line with school planning and curriculum expectations.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils can thrive.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain high expectations.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress where required.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Provide continuity of learning during teacher absence.

What We Are Looking For

Applicants should have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Experience teaching within EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to adapt quickly to different school settings.
• A flexible, reliable and professional approach.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• An up-to-date Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
