Career Teaching are working with an outstanding school in the Ripley area who are looking to appoint an experienced teaching assistant to work full time and support x2 children within the Year 4 class.

Start Date: 15th April 2024
Duration: Ongoing
Pay: £84.00 – £100.00 per day (depending on experience).

Your role will be to work closely with the children ensuring they are engaged and learning to the best of their abilities. You will carry out small activities with the children based on their likes and interests to ensure they are getting the best out of the lessons.

This role is based in a beautiful school with a supportive team that has been rated by Ofsted as a ‘Good’ school with outstanding teaching support.

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant role we require you to meet the following criteria;

  • Have previous experience of working in across KS1 & KS2
  • Share an understanding of the importance of a child-centred approach to learning
  • Hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3, BTEC Level 2 or 3 or equivalent in Teaching Assistant or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Develop and promote positive relationships with children, adults, and other practitioners
  • Plan deliver and evaluate teaching and learning activities under the direction of a teacher
  • Support Literacy and Numeracy development
  • Observe and promote pupil performance and development
