Career Teachers are looking for Secondary school Cover Supervisors to work at a school near to both Pontefract and Castleford starting ASAP. We have a contract to supply to this school and there is work available every day here. We are experiencing heightened demand at the moment, and we can accommodate both full and part time on cover supervisor work. Rates of pay are excellent for this type of job at this school.
Ideally you will be someone who is flexible and can accept jobs at very short notice – it’s often covering sicknesses, and these can happen at short notice. You must live in either the Castleford or Pontefract areas, or be able to commute to this area relatively quickly at short notice.
You will be expected to be able to manage behaviour effectively in the classroom through applying the school behaviour policy. You will then be expected to provide brief handover notes at the end of each lesson to pass back over to the school, so the next teacher can review.
We are looking for self-motivated confident individuals who can work using their own initiative, and can work hard to get the very best out of the students at the schools you will be working at.
This could be a great way to secure additional school experience prior to applying for teacher training and gain a flavour of what it will be like as a teacher.
