Cover Supervisor role – ASAP start!
Career Teachers are working with secondary schools in the South East and East London locations, the schools are looking primarily for Cover Supervisors for both long term roles, supporting in specific departments and also for cover supervisors available for daily, short term cover.
This is great opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience or pursue a career in Education and is that first step onto the ladder.
The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor you will provide support to teaching teams or departments by covering classes and ensuring students are focused and working to tasks. This is a key role within secondary schools as you will be supporting, in some cases, across all departments.
This role has grown in recent years and almost every secondary school will engage cover supervisors.
The Cover Supervisor is in sole charge of the classroom control and ultimately the safety of children.

Career Teacher will be running a cover supervisor course at the beginning of September which will highlight the role and responsibilities of a cover supervisor, awareness when supervising students in a classroom and on school site, safeguarding and positive behaviour management. Once you have registered with Career Teachers we can en-roll you onto this course in preparation for the new Academic Year. This is a free course and is just one of the courses which forms part of our ongoing CPD and support to all Career Teachers staff.
