Cover Teacher

  • Day rate – £140/ £223.62
  • Hours 8:00 – 16:00
  • Location – Leeds

AWS is currently looking for a cover teacher to join our team to support multiple schools in Leeds from January. If you are a teacher with a QTS and are looking for a more flexible role that will fit perfect around you other commitments this could be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain on task with their learning.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and procedures.
  • Provide feedback to the regular class teacher on student progress and any issues that arose during their absence.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience for students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All quoted rates are inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay.
