Key Responsibilities:
Supervise lessons in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students stay focused and productive
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies to maintain a positive learning environment
Deliver pre-set lesson plans and instructions with clarity and confidence
Support students with their assigned work, offering guidance where needed
Respond to minor issues or emergencies calmly and professionally
Collect and return completed work to the appropriate staff
Communicate effectively with teachers and school leaders regarding student progress and concerns
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and report any concerns appropriately
Be flexible and willing to cover a range of subjects and year groups
Confident classroom presence and a professional attitude
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Calm, resilient, and capable of managing behaviour effectively
Adaptable across subjects and age groups
Previous experience in schools or working with young people is a plus, but not essential
