Our school is a hub of creativity, nurturing talent and fostering a love for the performing arts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the drama teacher in planning and delivering engaging drama lessons and workshops.
  • Support students in developing their acting, improvisation, and performance skills.
  • Help organise and coordinate school productions, performances, and drama clubs.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them with lines, stage presence, and character development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and encouraged.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A recent graduate with a degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, Performing Arts, or a related field.
  • A passion for drama and a genuine interest in working with young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to engaging students.
  • Experience in performance, directing, or stage management is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with students with SEND within a mainstream or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) setting
  • A patient and understanding approach
  • A flexible approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Existing DBS check on the update service
  • Experience of PECS, Makaton, Intensive Interaction, Rapid Prompting Method and other relevant augmentative and alternative communication approaches are advantageous but not essential.
