Career Teachers are seeking a dedicated and passionate Drama Teacher (Must hold QTS / QTLS), for a secondary school based in North Birmingham. This is a full time temporary role to start September 2024.

You will be working in a vibrant and inclusive school who are committed to fostering academic excellence and holistic development. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Drama Teacher to join their staff team. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and nurture students talents in Drama. You will collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Drama curriculum and share best practice, and participate in school activities and contribute to the broader school community.

As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons at key stage 3 and 4 in accordance with the national curriculum. You will create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.

Qualifications & Requirements of Drama Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of teaching the Drama curricula KS3-4.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
  • Have up-to-date safeguarding training; Career Teachers offer FREE online Safeguarding training
  • Provide a full 10-year career history and references to cover the last 2 years including current and previous employers.
