Job Title: Early Years Educator Part Time (Nursery Practitioner)

Location: Derby

Salary: £12-£13 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver a wide range of engaging activities that promote children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

– Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, ensuring open communication and collaboration.

– Create a safe and stimulating environment where children feel encouraged to explore, discover, and express themselves creatively.

– Observe and assess children’s progress, providing regular feedback to parents/carers and adapting activities to meet individual needs.

– Maintain accurate records and documentation, including observations, assessments, and daily reports.

Requirements:

– Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting, with a genuine passion for working with young children.

– Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (e.g., CACHE, NVQ).

– Sound knowledge of child development and the EYFS framework, with the ability to effectively implement it in practice.

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.

– Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to participate in training and learning opportunities.
