As an English Teacher at this secondary school in Rochdale – Greater Manchester, you will deliver high quality, learner-focused education providing a secure and friendly environment for your students. You will have a real passion for seeing your students succeed, and will you provide engaging and inspiring lessons to achieve this.

You will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and effective English lessons to students aged 11-16.
  • Preparing students for GCSE examinations, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and personal development.
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting on the progress and attainment of students.
  • Supporting the school’s ethos and policies, including those related to safeguarding and student welfare.
  • Possess excellent subject and curriculum knowledge

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A degree in English or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
